EXTENDED FAMILY - BUSH TURKEYS
Bush Turkeys are common in some parts, and we have heard they can be pesty, but we love our Bush Turkeys and they are no trouble (only if we leave our garbage out, but we learnt not to do that pretty fast!).
When we first moved here, the Turkeys were the first animals we met and soon after we moved, babies Turkeys hatched and they were so adorable and we loved watching them grow and develop into adult Turkeys, loosing their brown fluffy feathers and their black ones.
We can identify the babies, and Yellow Neck, who is the dominant male Turkey and Long Beak who is an older Turkey and the top of his beak has grown over the bottom (giving him an overbite).
Long Neck visits our window every morning. In total we have around 13 Turkeys, as Dad counts them all the time, and they are pretty cool to watch when they are sitting in the sun, and running around the backyard, and jumping and flying down the hill off trees. We cannot wait for more babies to be born this year and the Turkeys are around 24/7 much to Joe Daniel, Angel Hope and Marie Henriettas' delight
