We're not supposed to have favourites, and if you tell any of the other birds we are confessing to these three being our favourites; we would deny it. So with that covered, let us tell you about the glorious Wilson, Willow and Louis.
The name Brown Pigeon sounds like a very boring bird, but Brown Pigeons are nothing of the sort. Before we met these three, we had never seen a Brown Pigeon before.
We first met Wilson and Willow when they began to occasionally come for a visit (maybe once a week or fortnight). They were shy and did not venture much from the trees. Eventually they flew over to the balcony rail for Dad, Mum, Joe Daniel, Angel Hope, Marie Henrietta and Jack Jack to get a closer look.
As time passed and Wilson & Willow began to turn up more often, usually in times when our other birds weren’t around. They also stated to bring Louis, a younger male who we like to think is their son. These days we see Wilson, Willow and Louis every day, and Joe Daniel and Marie Henrietta particularly like to stalk and stare at them through the window, as they fly close by to eat some seed.
Whilst their colouring is not as bright as some of our other birds, the different layers of the brown colouring, their long tail feathers and their presence has a shine all of its own.
