We are not great at distinguishing between our Spotted Turtledoves (hence the reason we haven’t named them, but we love them just the same), but we have 3 or 4 of the most beautiful specimens who come to visit us daily.

 

They are a little more shy than the rest of the birds that visit and they do not fly onto our balcony so much, but walk down with the turkeys to eat with them, or sit and watch the goings on from the trees.

 

These birds are wonderful to look at and have cute little spotted necks making them easy to identify. Our Spotted Turtledoves (or Turtlenecks for short) have been visiting us since we have lived where we are.  We see our Turtlenecks every day (at least 1 if not more).
